Warning signs
What do right-of-way and priority signs look like?

Priority intersection

Is the priority intersection sign important for the theory test and the driving test?
Yes, the priority intersection sign plays an important role in understanding traffic rules, especially yielding rules. It is therefore central to both the theory test and the driving test.
What is the priority intersection sign?
The priority intersection sign warns of a dangerous intersection where drivers coming from a side road or crossing road are required to yield by sign 202 "Yield" or sign 204 "Stop". The sign is used both on priority roads and on other roads to establish a priority intersection.
On priority roads, the sign is put up to warn of intersections that can be difficult to see or understand, so that traffic on the main road can drive safely and without stopping. On other roads it is used to create what we call a priority intersection.
A priority intersection is an intersection where one road is designated as the "main road" that has the right of way. All other roads that meet it must yield or stop. This makes it easy to know who goes first at the intersection, so that there is no confusion or dangerous situations.

When do you encounter the priority intersection sign?
The sign is used before intersections that have poor visibility, are complicated, or where there have been accidents related to yielding situations. It can also be put up to clarify yielding obligations on bike paths that cross less trafficked roads with a low speed limit.
