Speed bump

Are speed bumps important for the theory test or the practical driving test?

Speed bumps are part of the syllabus, but they are not very important for the theory test. They are, however, very important for the practical driving test. It is important to pay attention to speed bumps, because you can damage the car if you drive too fast over them. It can also be uncomfortable for the passengers. Speed bumps are designed for you to drive over them at a calm speed, so if the car bumps a lot, you are probably driving too fast. This can give the examiner a poor impression during the practical driving test.

What is a speed bump?

A speed bump is a raised section of the road that encourages drivers to keep to the speed limit. If you drive at the correct speed, you will barely notice the bump. But if you drive too fast, it can be uncomfortable for those in the car, and it can also damage the car.
