What do service signs look like?

Service signs come in two different types.

One type is square with a white background, blue border and black or red symbols. This type is for emergency aid and roadside services.

The other type has a white background with a brown border and brown symbols. This type signposts attractions, activities, outdoor recreation and more.

Is the restroom sign important for the theory test and driving test?

The restroom sign is not among the most central signs you need to know for the theory test or the driving test. It can still come up as a question on the theory test, but rarely, and during the driving test it is unlikely you will be tested on it directly. The sign marks that there is an accessible sanitary facility nearby, and it can be useful to know – especially on longer drives where you plan breaks.
