The shared-lane symbol is usually not very central to the theory test or the practical driving test. The symbol is also not used much in Norway, so it is unlikely that you will encounter it often in everyday driving.
What is the shared-lane symbol?
The shared-lane symbol indicates places where bicycle routes lack a dedicated cycle path, or where the road changes shape, for example by becoming narrower. It marks that cyclists and drivers must share the road and helps both groups travel safely.
